Q: Do you only grow vegetable gardens?
A: No way! We love assisting with compost, worm bins, chicken coops, rabbits, fruit orchards, native landscapes, permaculture yards, rain barrels and more.
Q: How much space do I need to grow food?
A: For a traditional vegetable garden, we recommend to have a 10x10 plot for a family of two, and a 20x20 bed for a family of four. However, there are varieties of vegetables that are as beautiful as they are delicious that can be tucked in with your existing landscape, used in container gardens, or can be set in a permacuture design.
Q: Do you work with commercial properties?
A: Yes. We help stores and restaurants, and can offer specialties such as indoor plant-scaping, rooftop vegetable gardens, and patio gardens.
Q: Is it really possible to have year round edible gardens?
A: Yes. The PNW is a great area that offers a unique opportunity to grow food year round in our climate.
Q: Do you offer weekly or monthly maintenance?
A: We can come out however often you need in order to keep your gardens full and alive. You don't even need to do any gardening at all. But if you want to we can assist you and your family in learning to grow your own food. You decide your level of involvement.
Q: What areas do you service?
A: We mainly provide service to the greater Portland metro area, but are available throughout Oregon for consultation.
Q: What information comes with a design?
A: A plant list, map of the landscape, and a detailed installation estimate are included with a design.
Q: What is the first step?
A: Give me a call!
